Kabupaten Jayapura Siapkan Lokasi TPA Sentani Barat, Ditargetkan Rampung Akhir Desember ini
SENTANI || Proses penyelesaian pengerjaan Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (TPA) Kabupaten Jayapura masih terus dikerjakan sampai sekarang, hal itu disampaikan Kepala Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kabupaten Jayapura, Abdul Rahman Basri saat diwawancara di Lapangan Apel Kantor Bupati Jayapura, Senin (16/10/2023).
Abdul Rahman Basri menjelaskan sudah menyiapkan lokasi di TPA di Distrik Sentani Barat, Kampung Waibron.
“Saat ini kita masih proses pengerjaan infrastruktur jalan masuk ke TPA, karena jalan masuk, tanjakan dan turunan yang cukup curam, sehingga pengerjaan agak lambat,” ucapnya.
Yang harus kita ketahui, apabila TPA sudah selesai, TPA ini tidak menampung semua sampah, tetapi sampah yang sudah melalui proses residu.
“Jadi dari TPS dulu melalui proses, lalu ke TPA,” pungkasnya.
Ia mengungkapkan, sampai saat ini Pemkab Jayapura dalam penanganan sampah masih menggunakan Tempat Pembuangan Sampah (TPS) yang berada di Distrik Waibu, Kampung Doyo Lama.
Saat ditanya tentang dampak pada masyarakat sekitar adanya TPS pada kesehatan masyarakat, Abdul menyampaikan dalam pengolahannya akan kita maksimalkan agar tidak berdampak buruk bagi masyarakat sekitar.
Ia berharap pengerjaan jalan ke TPA dapat selesai bulan Desember 2023. Dengan tujuan TPA dapat difungsikan.
“Sedangkan untuk gerobak sampah ada 20 gerobak dan ada 16 truk yang berfungsi untuk mengangkut sampat setiap harinya,” tutupnya.
