Antisipasi Penumpukan Sampah Akibat TPA Sarimukti, Ema Sumarna Dorong Percepatan TPA Legok Nangka

BANDUNG || Mengantisipasi penumpukan sampah akibat terkendalanya Tempat Pembuangan Akhir sampah (TPA Sarimukti), Pelaksana Harian Wali Kota Bandung, Ema Sumarna berharap adanya percepatan pengoperasian TPA Legok Nangka oleh Pemprov Jawa Barat.

“Kita mendorong mulai pengoperasionalan TPA Legok Nangka, itu ada beberapa area yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menampung sampah sebagai TPA,” kata Ema di Balai Kota Bandung, Kamis 24 Agustus 2023.

Ema menyebut, pengoperasionalan TPA Legok Nangka dapat menjadi salah satu solusi penanganan sampah di Kota Bandung dan kota lain di Bandung Raya.

“Kita punya kemampuan untuk mengangkut sampah ke Legok Nangka, sama jaraknya dengan ke TPA Sarimukti,” katanya.

Selain itu, kata Ema, Pemkot Bandung juga tengah mencari alternatif solusi lain, seperti bekerja sama dengan TNI untuk memanfaatkan lahan-lahan milik TNI.

“Alternatif lain kita bisa bekerjasama dengan lahan-lahan milik TNI. Kita doakan semoga Pemerintah Provinsi Jabar dapat mencari solusi terbaik, karena ini kan masalah lintas daerah,” katanya.

Tak hanya itu, Ema juga mendorong bertambahnya Kawasan Bebas Sampah (KBS) di Kota Bandung. Untuk itu, lanjutnya, akselerasi Kawasan Bebas Sampah (KBS) baru di level RW harus ditingkatkan.

Saat ini terdapat 234 RW yang berstatus KBS di Kota Bandung naik dari sebelumnya 154 RW

“Alhamdulillah ada progres dari 154 RW sekarang sudah diatas 234 RW KBS. Ini terus kita dorong dan galakan agar Bandung menjadi zero waste city, ini harus kita lakukan secara masif,” ujarnya.
