BANDUNG || Gubernur Jawa Barat Ridwan Kamil mengumumkan Sumitomo Jepang sebagai pemenang tender pembangunan dan pengelolaan Tempat Pengolahan dan Pemrosesan Akhir Sampah (TPPAS) Legok Nangka di Nagreg, Kabupaten Bandung.
Hal itu disampaikan Gubernur Ridwan Kamil dalam konferensi pers usai membuka West Java Investment Summit (WJIS) 2023 di Mason Pine Kota Baru Parahyangan, Kabupaten Bandung Barat, Rabu (9/8/2023).
“Setelah proses panjang selama enam bulan, kami akhirnya mengumumkan Sumitomo sebagai pemenang tender pengelolaan TPPAS Legok Nangka,” kata Ridwan Kamil.
Pihak Sumitomo juga hadir untuk memastikan kesiapannya dalam mengelola sampah di Legok Nangka menjadi penghasil energi listrik ( waste to energy ).
Ia berharap nantinya setelah dikelola Jepang, masalah sampah regional akan teratasi bahkan naik kelas karena dikelola dengan teknologi tercanggih.
“Secepatnya,” ujar Kang Emil, sapaan akrabnya ketika ditanya lebih lanjut kapan Sumitomo bakal memulai proyeknya di TPPAS Legok Nangka.
Sementara itu ketika ditanya terkait pengelolaan Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (TPA) Sarimukti di Cipatat, Kabupaten Bandung Barat, menurut Kang Emil masih tetap beroperasi namun tidak dengan konsep open dumping . TPA Sarimukti akan menjadi bagian dari TPPAS Legok Nangka.
