BANDUNG || Gubernur Jawa Barat Ridwan Kamil membuka Kejuaraan Daerah Tarung Derajat piala Gubernur Jawa Barat tahun 2023 di Gedung Youth Center Sport Jabar Arcamanik, Kota Bandung, Kamis (10/8/2023).
Kejurda yang diikuti perwakilan dari 27 Pengcab Tarung Derajat se-Jabar itu akan berlangsung hingga tanggal 13 Agustus 2023.
Dalam sambutannya, Gubernur bangga menyaksikan satu per satu langkah menuju provinsi yang juara lahir batin salah satunya dalam bidang keolahragaan, terus berjalan.
“Saya bangga menyaksikan satu per satu langkah-langkah menuju provinsi yang juara lahir batin,” ujarnya.
Kang Emil, — sapaan akrab Ridwan Kamil — melaporkan selama lima tahun kepemimpinannya sudah mendapatkan 542 penghargaan baik dalam maupun luar negeri. Salah satu penghargaan di bidang olahraga yang menjadi kebanggaan adalah penghargaan dari pemerintah pusat sebagai provinsi dengan pembinaan olahraga terbaik se-Indonesia.
“Ini berkat upaya semua pihak yang menjadikan Jabar terbaik se-Indonesia dalam pembinaan olahraga,” kata Kang Emil.
Salah satu tujuan Kejurda Tarung Derajat Piala Gubernur Jabar 2023 adalah untuk menjaring atlet yang akan berlaga di perhelatan Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) ke-21 tahun 2024 di Aceh dan Sumatera Barat.
Gubernur optimistis Jabar akan mampu mempertahankan juara umum tiga kali berturut-turut karena ditunjang oleh atlet yang mumpuni dan persiapan matang.
“Harus optimis bisa juara umum lagi di PON ke-21 tahun depan,” ucapnya.
